By paying the deposit, you agree to the terms and conditions and entering into a contract.

Please review the T&Cs carefully to avoid misunderstandings.

The date will be officially booked once all required documentation and the deposit are received.

By engaging the services of by LOCK+HEART accepts the booking, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and the invoice, forming the entire agreement between us.

Deposits

 1a. 2025/2026 A non-refundable, non-transferable CAD45 deposit per person (makeup only/hair only bookings) CAD90 deposit per person (makeup & hair bookings) that provisionally holds your booking date exclusively for you with the artist.

1b.The deposit is due 72 hours of the request email regarding deposit/trials and after we have received your completed enquiry form with some details about you and your wedding In the event this doesn't happen, our services may be withdrawn and your date may be released.

1c.The deposit is deducted from the final balance if the booking proceeds.

1d. Deposits are forfeited if the client cancels or rearranges the booking.

1e.Your booking is secured with the full deposit is received, notification of the deposit sent, and acknowledgment of the terms & conditions.

Communication

 3a.The most efficient way to discuss booking details is via email due to the high volume of messages on multiple platforms. Social media, WhatsApp, phone call, and text messages can be missed or confused, so all booking-related correspondence should be sent via email to ensure no important information is overlooked.

 3b.While performing makeup and hair appointments, the artists cannot answer calls or messages. It may take up to 3 days to respond. If a response is delayed, a gentle reminder is appreciated.

Payment

 4a.E- transfers, Cash payments must be made in full before any services are performed.

4b.E- transfers must clear in full before any services are performed, with final payment due at least 15 days before the event date.

4c.No Cheques or Credit Card Accepted.

 Travel

5a.Each service includes approximately 20 miles of travel.

5b. Each service includes 1 hour travel time (30 minutes each way). Additional travel time will be charged.

5c.Locations more than 2 hours away may require an overnight stay, which is chargeable to the client and must be arranged in advance.

Location

6a.Client Responsibility for Location Information.

6b.Clients must provide clear and detailed information about the preparation location.

 6c.The client must ensure a setup table/work area, working electrical outlets, and ample lighting (preferably natural light) are available. A high chair or bar stool is preferred but not mandatory; inform if a chair cannot be provided.

Client Obligations

 7a.Ensure the work environment has enough space, natural light, power outlets, and hand-washing facilities.

 7b.Ensure all party members are aware of the schedule and available for hair and makeup application at the designated time.

 7c.Before makeup application, ensure each client arrives on time with clean, makeup-free skin and dry hair.

Allergies & Contraindications

 8a.Clients must inform artists of any allergies or past reactions before makeup and hair styling.

 8b.The application may be refused if any party members have contagious conditions, flu-like symptoms, or a fever.

 8c.Various conditions such as eye infections, cold sores, fungal infections, severe sunburn, and others will prevent or restrict makeup application or styling.

8d.All makeup tools and products are sanitized between applications.

8e.Clients must report any skin or hair conditions before application, and a sample test may be performed if necessary. The artist cannot be held liable for allergic reactions.

 8f.Products are selected for quality and suitability, but no claims are made about reactions.

 8g.Efforts are made to avoid products causing reactions, but no guarantees can be made.

 8h.Clients must inform artists of any illnesses, pregnancies, or disabilities that could affect makeup application or hairstyling.

Trial

 9a.Please note that makeup trials are approximately up to 1.5 hours & hair and makeup trials are approximately up to 3 hours. Please ensure that you make enough time available so that we can perform the trial as thoroughly as possible.

 9b.Every effort is taken to create a long-lasting look but we make no claims about the longevity of the look.

 9c.While we document the trial with notes, face charts, photos, and videos, we may need to substitute products or adapt the look if needed. Hair may vary slightly depending on factors like wash cycle, sleep, and current conditions, which are beyond our control. However, we'll strive to recreate your look as accurately as possible.

Cancellations

11a.The artists reserve the right to terminate the contract if there's any non-compliance with its terms, rendering the contract void with non-refundable payments.

11b.Trial cancellations

Clients can cancel booking at any point, but cancellations within 48 hours, the deposit will not be refunded

 11c.Cancellation fees (Wedding)

Within 12 weeks (84days) of the wedding date: 25% of the total package booked

Within 8 weeks (56 days) of the wedding date: 50% of the total package booked

Within 5 weeks (35 days) or less of the wedding date: 100% of the total package booked

11d. Written cancellation or rescheduling must be provided directly by the client via email.

 11e.Your booking will only be canceled if it conflicts with an unpredictable life event such as a pregnancy, illness, or a close friend or family member's wedding. In such cases, we will endeavor to find a replacement artist.
